Welcome to Cards by Amy K.

I am SO GLAD you stopped by to check out my blog!!! Here I will be posting my current projects for you to see. PLEASE feel free to leave me a comment. I would LOVE to hear what you think about what I'm working on. I have been a scrapbooker/paper crafter since I first caught wind of this wonderful hobby in 2006. I am lucky enough to get to spend my days doing something I love so much and which brings so much joy into my life. I first started scrapbooking as a way to pass the time as I found myself at home alone all day suddenly, now I can't imagine life without it. Too bad I don't get paid for it, then I really would have it all!!!

using nail art to embellish buttons

I really love attention to detail and that means I even like to embellish my buttons from time to time. To do these buttons I simply added rub ons to some and bling to most. The others are done using those nail art stickers and jems. I search out the nail isle at my local drug stores and stock up on the cutest ones I can find. A little goes a long way with these tiny embellishments. Give it a try, I'd love to see what you come up with.

handmade distressed flowers

Check out these flowers I made last night and this morning. I just love this technique. I saw a couple of different videos on you tube showing the technique and I just had to give it a try and now I'm hooked!! It's so easy to do. Hmm, wonder what I will use them on now?
Enjoy. Don't forget to leave me a comment. I love to hear from you. Please let me know if you have any questions or if you would like to see something.
Till then.....

Baby girl (shower) cards

My cousin and my brother and his wife are both having baby girls. These are a few of the cards I made just a week ago for Brittany's (my cousin)shower. I guess I better get to work making some more, brother's baby shower will be soon! I make these cards for some of the folks in my family to give. They get their cards from me instead of buying them at the stores.:) Thanks guys!!

flowers Happy Easter card

I recently got the Sweethearts cartridge for the cricut and just thought these flowers were just darling. I just had to make a card with them. I normally make at least a couple Easter cards just for my family each year so you will probably see at least one more in the next couple of weeks. Also, look for me to make something "sweet" for my nephew, Dylan, before Easter arrives. He is almost getting to big for me to make cute little things for. At least he thinks so. Hope you enjoy this one!
Product list: cardstock: core'dinations; patterned paper: basic grey, k & co.; embossing folder: provo craft; stamps: close to my heart; ink: clearsnap; punch: martha Stewart; ribbon and pearls: unknown.
