I put together this card for my Grandfather's birthday. I used the Graphic 45, "a proper gentlemen", paper for the card and I die cut the note tag shape from the cricut using the Graphically speaking cartridge and the sentiment stamp is from Close to my Heart. I also heat embossed it with gold embossing powder. I hope he enjoyed his card. I had to mail it to him and didn't get to see him on his birthday this year. I was sad about that. I just wasn't feeling well that day and sometimes I just have to take a break from all the 'going' and 'doing' and just let my body rest and heal. If I don't do that from time to time it just tends to shut down on me. Not to worry, Im all better now. I love you, Granddaddy, and hope you had a wonderful birthday:)

I am SO GLAD you stopped by to check out my blog!!! Here I will be posting my current projects for you to see. PLEASE feel free to leave me a comment. I would LOVE to hear what you think about what I'm working on. I have been a scrapbooker/paper crafter since I first caught wind of this wonderful hobby in 2006. I am lucky enough to get to spend my days doing something I love so much and which brings so much joy into my life. I first started scrapbooking as a way to pass the time as I found myself at home alone all day suddenly, now I can't imagine life without it. Too bad I don't get paid for it, then I really would have it all!!!

This is the tag I made for the July tag swap that is hosted by my friend, Carlene, at pinkscrapper99 on you tube. The theme for this month was "things that fly" and must include a quote. I did several techniques borrowed from Tim Holtz using the distress inks and pearl ex. I used the Blooms Cricut lite cartridge for the bird cage and the winter woodland cartridge for the bird. Hope you enjoy!! Happy crafting and thanks for watching. Please don't forget to leave me a comment and let me know if you like what you see or if you would like to see something else. Thanks for watching. hugs. amy k
