Welcome to Cards by Amy K.

I am SO GLAD you stopped by to check out my blog!!! Here I will be posting my current projects for you to see. PLEASE feel free to leave me a comment. I would LOVE to hear what you think about what I'm working on. I have been a scrapbooker/paper crafter since I first caught wind of this wonderful hobby in 2006. I am lucky enough to get to spend my days doing something I love so much and which brings so much joy into my life. I first started scrapbooking as a way to pass the time as I found myself at home alone all day suddenly, now I can't imagine life without it. Too bad I don't get paid for it, then I really would have it all!!!

Cupcake b-day card

I made this cute little card for my lovely Mother In Law, Judy. It just looks so yummy in person. The photo really doesn't do it justice. Like for instance, you really can't even tell there is lace layered across the bottom of the card under the seam binding. The paper line is from DCWV, the sweet stack. I used the Elegant Edges cartridge for the cricut to cut out the background oval shapes and I made the cupcake using the Sweet Treats Cartridge. I glittered the pink part of the cupcake and for the cherry on top I used some glossy accents with a tiny bling to show the reflection. The sentiment stamp is from inkadinkado, seam binding is from Martha Stewart. Her seam binding is really good quality. the lace is from an unknown source. I hope you enjoy my card today and that you and yours have a wonderful and blessed 4th of July.
